Hello everyone! I can’t believe it is already day 9 at Kizuna Camp! Time really does fly~

Today in English class, students were able to practice more grammar and vocabulary. This practice will help with the group presentations and speaking with the American students! We also prepared for our shopping day by practicing a shopping dialogue. Students have been practicing how to start conversations with useful phrases, such as “Pardon Me,” “Excuse Me,” and “Can I ask you a question?” We finished class after creating an event and presenting about how to prepare for that event! The events included a wedding, a snowboarding trip, a cruise, and a Birthday Party! Some students made really creative events that I would love to go to!

After our creative English Class, we all ate lunch together! Most students enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers. The true American experience! 🙂

After filling up for lunch, we all went shopping together at Fashion Valley Mall. This mall is two stories, so students had plenty of stores to shop at! The students also bought lots of souvenirs for family and friends, so I hope everyone is excited to see their gifts! I wish my friends would buy me such nice souvenirs!

With our wallets feeling lighter, we headed back to UCSD. Today was some American students’ last day, so we had our first tearful goodbye. I expect Saturday to be a very tearful day, so I will prepare lots of tissues for everyone!

After we enjoyed our dinner together, we worked out with our Soccer Tournament for our Night Activity! For Soccer, we had Team Chocolate in first, Team Ketchup in second, Team Black Penguin in third, and Teen Yellow in fourth. I wonder what this will do for our rankings?

Overall, today was another day filled with fun activities and great teamwork! Although we had our first tearful goodbyes, it was a nice sign to see how close students got after only 9 days! It is really amazing to see everyone push themselves and open up with American students.

For tomorrow, we will visit the famous San Diego Zoo and hopefully see some cute pandas!

Until tomorrow, thanks for reading and have a great night!
